Our friend, Katie, arrived this past Sunday to stay with us for a few weeks and we wanted to make sure the Blue Room was totally ready for her.
The biggest change we made was taking the old mirror from the bathroom (the big white chunky one) and hanging that on the wall to open up the space.
Here is the empty wall ready to go with our two screw/mollies in.

And the big mirror was up! It looks so much better in this room than it did in the bathroom.
Next change was a small but very important one. The door stop in this bedroom was no longer functional. See...
The door would push against it and it would just bend to the side. After taking all the time to paint this room and try to fix the walls, we didnt want to accidently put a whole or dent in the wall from the door knob.
The old door stop was surprisingly easy to take off - all it was was a screw in the wall.

From there we choose to just put little door stops in the hinges of the door to keep things off the wall. Very easy and very effective.
Then lastly, we added in some accessories: a nightstand, lamp, and clock.
(And a rug that for some reason I didnt take a picture of...but you can see it below.)

And the Blue Room was done and ready to go!
